🚀 Getting Started
Visit the Sign Up page. You'll need your school's UDISE code, an email address, and a password. Once registered, you can immediately set up your school profile, academic year, classes, and subjects.
Yes, Byntix is free to get started. You can sign up, set up your school, add students, and start using all core features — attendance, fees, exams, and reports — without any upfront cost.
UDISE (Unified District Information System for Education) is a unique identification code assigned to every school in India by the government. Byntix uses this code to uniquely identify your institution and prevent duplicate registrations.
After signing up, go to Settings → School Profile to add your school name, address, phone number, and logo. Then create an academic year, add your classes and subjects, and you're ready to start adding students.
👨‍🎓 Students & Attendance
Yes. Go to Students → Bulk Upload and download the Excel template. Fill in student details (name, admission number, class, DOB, parent info) and upload the file. Byntix will validate and import all students at once.
Select a class and date from the Attendance page. Each student shows three options: Present, Absent, or Half Day. Click once for Present, twice for Absent, and thrice for Half Day. Attendance is saved instantly — no page reload needed. Holidays are automatically detected and shown.
Yes. Admins can reset attendance for any date. Sub-users (teachers) can reset attendance only for the current date. The Reset button clears all markings, and when you save after a reset, the attendance record for that day is removed.
You can mark a student as "Exited" — they will no longer appear in active student lists, attendance, or fee collection. If the student rejoins later, you can use the "Rejoin" feature to re-enroll them in a new academic year.
💰 Fees & Invoicing
Go to Settings → Fee Settings. Define the base fee, number of terms (installments), transport fee, and any other charges for each class. The fee breakdown is automatically calculated per term for each student.
Yes. Every fee payment automatically generates a printable invoice with a unique invoice number. You can download it as a PDF for offline records. The invoice includes student details, fee breakdown, payment method, and amount paid.
Yes. When collecting fees, you can apply a global discount (spread across all terms) or per-term discounts. The system will automatically recalculate the outstanding balance and reflect it on the invoice.
📊 Exams & Reports
Go to Settings → Exams to create exam types (Unit Test, Mid-Term, Final) and link them to classes. Then navigate to the Marks page, select the exam and class, and enter marks for each student per subject. You can lock an exam to prevent further edits.
Byntix offers three main report categories: Attendance Reports (daily class report, monthly/annual per-student report), Marks Reports (exam-wise performance, class averages, toppers), and Fee Reports (paid, pending, and balance amounts per student or class).
🔒 Security & Access
Yes. Byntix uses SSL encryption for all data in transit, bcrypt hashing for passwords, and role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure only authorized users can access specific modules. All data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure.
Yes. Go to Manage Users to create sub-user accounts. You can assign granular permissions (Dashboard, Attendance, Fees, Marks, Reports) and restrict access to specific classes. Passwords are auto-generated and can be reset by the admin.
Yes, Byntix has a dedicated Android app that supports attendance marking, student management, and more. Both the web platform and Android app sync data in real-time.
🎓 Academic Management
At the end of the year, go to the Promote page. Select the source class and the target class/academic year, choose which students to promote (select all or individually), and confirm. The system preserves enrollment history and automatically skips already-promoted students.
Yes. You can create multiple academic years and switch between them from the header dropdown. Each year maintains its own set of attendance, fees, marks, and student data. You can also lock a completed year to prevent accidental edits.
Yes. Navigate to the Bonafide section, search for a student, and the system auto-fills their details (name, class, father's name, DOB). You can customize the certificate template with HTML & CSS, and reset to the default template at any time.
